Cathy Ryan, PhD

Dr. Cathy Ryan is a groundwater scientist whose research investigates the environmental impacts of gas migration around energy wells, groundwater - surface water interaction, agricultural impacts on groundwater, and radon in groundwater. She has been a faculty member in the Geoscience (Faculty of Science) since 1997. Cathy has also been the recipient of community and environmental awards such as the 2011 Community Outreach Award from the Faculty of Science and the City of Calgary’s award for Individual Environmental Achievement in 2008.
