Marisa Van Bavel

Marisa is a third-year doctoral student in the School and Applied Child Psychology program at the University of Calgary. She has several years of training and supervised practice completing psychoeducational assessments with children and youth. When completing assessments, it is her personal goal to create a relaxed testing environment and to ensure that each individual has a positive experience. In both her research and clinical work, Marisa seeks to empower others by taking a strength-based and culturally sensitive approach. In her off hours, Marisa enjoys spending time outdoors and reading a good book with a cup of coffee.
